Born and raised in the medieval town of Regensburg, Germany on the Danube River, I studied Fine Arts and Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart for six years before starting my career as a designer and creative director in Germany as co-owner of a branding agency.
In 2001 I moved to New York City, where I lived over 16 years before settling in Bloomfield, NJ, with time also spent in the Pocono mountains. Along the way, life became a study in bridging worlds: creative and analytical, European and American, structured and instinctive. That instinct for connection is what shapes everything I do, in leadership and beyond.
I’m a certified nutritionist and deeply passionate about healthy living, hiking, yoga, pescatarian cooking, historical fiction, and the arts. And on the days I’m not deep in creative strategy, you’ll find me thinking about the other kind of presentation: how career women show up, dress, and carry themselves in rooms that matter. That’s the idea behind my Instagram, @elevatedbyastrid, elevated style for women building something real.
